Ortega Tours was started by Ben Ortega. He started riding motorbikes and took an interest in border crossing when he was 17 years old.
In Aflao, many youth make money from riding motorbikes, so it is a common hustle right after school. At first, Ben faced challenges where people saw him as too young to ride a bike, which could be discouraging.
He also noticed that many people were being scammed as they crossed the border. The process itself was easy, but crossing alone made it complicated and stressful for foreigners and locals alike.
So Ben started Ortega Tours to help people cross easily. He recruited his own motor riders so that they built a trusted process and experience for people crossing the Aflao border of Ghana. Today they have more than 30 motor riders under them and hope to expand to other border points in Ghana.

The Aflao border is one of the busiest and most dynamic crossings in West Africa, connecting Ghana to Togo. For centuries, this region has been a hub of trade, travel, and cultural exchange between the Ewe people and beyond.
